Mystical Aria books during this Gallery Show,
May 27th, from
7 p.m. to 9 p.m., in the Decatur Library Main Lobby at 215 Sycamore Street in Decatur, Georgia. A limited quantity of the books will be available for sale.
"I'm honored the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, Georgia Center for the Book, and Decatur Arts Festival invited an illustration used by a smaller book publishing company," says Phillips. "Promoting independent artists makes Decatur a special place."

Gallery Show
The Southern Breeze Chapter of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) hosts its annual Gallery Show at the Decatur Library. The show focuses on children's book illustration, the power of visual art, and the written word in story-telling. The illustrations on display are accompanied by a copy of the book in which the art appears. The Show runs through mid-June in the Main Lobby of the Decatur Library.

Fun Facts About the Author
Fondest Memorial Day weekend memories include mountain biking with my nephew, James Guthrie, on the New River Trail in Pulaski County, Virginia. It's an old railroad track converted to a multi-use path for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. I'm not sure what James enjoys more, a railroad exhibit along the trail or an ice cream treat after our ride.
