Like May flowers, we've been popping up all over to provide books at community events, including La Ingrata's Cinco de Mayo Celebration and It Takes a Village's Spring Fling (shouts out & gratitude to Nas and Reet for repping The Free Books Project at the Spring Fling!)
Our Free Book Shelves initiative is going strong! We were thrilled to install shelves at the VOA Delaware Valley and Refresh Laundry. We're so thankful for these great new partnerships. If your organization could benefit from Free Book Shelves at their location, don't hesitate to reach out!
Our afternoons with the children from Kids Alley were fun and educational as ever thanks to visits from local children's book author Joe Carwile and Neighborhood Collaborative Community Gardens. Thanks so much to Joe and the NCCG crew for coming to read to the kids!
We had the great fortune to receive some incredible book donations this past month, including the largest donation of children's books we've ever received from Mastery McGraw Elementary(thank you Diana and Jasmine!) and a wonderful collection of books of poetry that belonged to the late poet Alfred Encarnación (much gratitude to Lissy Mel and the Stratford Public Library!)
