Each day brings uncertain news about the state of COVID-19, and self-isolation means many small businesses have had to close. While we are currently closed to the public, you can still support us by shopping at our website: www.thebookseller.biz. We're offering free media mail shipping or curbside pickup.

Please note that most media mail packages take a week to be delivered within Nevada County. You can always choose priority shipping at an extra cost.

Curbside pickup is super easy. After you've paid for your books, either online or over the phone ( we cannot handle cash), give the shop a ring at 530-272-2131 when you're on Mill St., tell us what car you're in and a bookseller will run them out to you.

Maybe you're asking: but what else can I do to support my local bookstore and booksellers?

Pre-orders! You already know you want to read them, so why not purchase them now? Pre-orders help keep us afloat, and you’ll have your hands on the book the day it comes out.

Gift certificates! Is your TBR list seriously out of control? Consider purchasing gift certificates from The Book Seller for friends and family—surprise them with one now (they probably could use a distraction), or save it for their birthday, a special event, and even the holidays. We're offering 10% off all gift certificates, just give us a call. Discount cannot be applied online.
Audiobooks! When you shop these featured audiobooks, The Book Seller receives 100% of the sale when purchased à la carte, and $15 when a credit is used if you’re a Libro.fm member. These audiobooks can be gifted, and there is no limit on the number of audiobooks purchased during this promotion. But hurry, this offer ends on April 10th at midnight PDT!
We have minimal staff in the shop, working tirelessly to sanitize all the surfaces we can. When we're not disinfecting, we're answering phone calls and packaging up your online orders. Each day brings new challenges and we're trying to be flexible about meeting them head-on. You can reach us Monday - Saturday from 10:00 to 3:00 for the time being. Hours are subject to change. Stay up to date with us on our Facebook and Instagram pages.

Those of us at The Book Seller know, as well as anyone, that browsing through a bookstore is half the magic. There's nothing better than endless hours perusing shelves to discover a new book. We promise to open our doors to you, as soon as it's safe to.

Until then, stay well and read on.
