The January session of SDAP was about Facilities Management in the Boone County School district. Superintendent Matt Turner opened the session. It was then led by Facility Management Department Director Dan Razor and overseen by Assistant Superintendent of Operation Services Kim Best. Ambassadors met at the Facilities Management building and learned about the district operations and how they are managed under the facilities department. Boone County Schools facilities management plan includes buildings and property, energy and gas usage, health and safety compliance, facility maintenance and work order request management, parts inventory, asset and resource management, etc.
The Superintendent's District Ambassador Program (SDAP) is for parents and community members. Ambassadors are required to attend monthly trainings and tours of departments that run this school district. Potential Ambassadors are selected by the Superintendent.
