REMINDER PARENTS:

EARLY RELEASE DAY IS THIS THURSDAY

All Boone County Schools will have an early release day on Thursday October 26th. We want to provide you with information to assist in your planning.

 

Morning activities such as bus pick up times and breakfast will not change. Buses will pick up at the normally scheduled time and breakfast will be served in the manner that normally takes place at your child’s school.

 

Middle and High Schools will dismiss at 11:30 a.m. Students will be provided with a bagged lunch at locations to be determined by the building administration and food service manager customized to each school at dismissal time. Bus drop off times will be 3 hours earlier than the normally scheduled drop off time. Ex: If your child normally arrives home at 3:00 p.m. they will arrive home at approximately 12:00 p.m. on the early release day.

 

Elementary Schools will dismiss at 12:30 p.m. Students will be provided with a bagged lunch at locations to be determined by the building administration and food service manager customized to each school at dismissal time. Bus drop off times will be 3 hours earlier than the normally scheduled drop off time. Ex: If your child normally arrives home at 4:00 p.m. they will arrive home at approximately 1:00 p.m. on the early release day.

Per KRS 158.070, the District Calendar Committee is seeking input from district employees, parents, and community members as the committee develops a 2024-25 School Calendar to recommend to the Board of Education. Please use the form in the links below to provide your input. This form, available in several languages below will be available until 12:00 noon on Sunday, October 29, 2023.

Senior athletes from Ryle High stopped by several of our elementary schools last week to greet the students as they began their day! We caught up with those welcoming students to Erpenbeck Elementary School. See below.

Colin Waters

2014 Graduate of Boone County High School

Colin is Charleston Stage's Education Program Manager in Charleston, South Carolina.


He grew up in Florence, Kentucky. Colin received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting and a double-minor in Musical Theatre and Performing arts Administration from Western Kentucky University in 2018. After graduating, Colin moved to Charleston to work as a Resident Actor for Charleston Stage. During his time, he continued his passion for performing and directing, while also discovering a love for theatre education. Colin has taught with Charleston Stage Theatre School classes and Troupe classes, Engaging Creative Minds, and Charleston County School of the Arts Theatre Faculty.
