(Almost) everything you need to know about having a Boone 4th Grader!
We are so excited to welcome our first ever class of 4th grade bulldogs! We will have two classes, about 37 fourth graders in total. It's going to be a great year for these kids to lead the way and set some new traditions! W e have fun plans for both the kids and the adults, and of course we'll also have plan B if needed , but put these important dates on your calendar now!
Included in the Fourth Grade Activities Fee
2 Fourth Grade T-Shirts
One shirt will be given out at the Back to School Party for our kids to enjoy all year long. The other will be given at the end of the year.

Back to School Swim Party - August 17 (if conditions allow)
This will be a great chance to meet and get to know all their fellow classmates! Invitations to follow.

Fourth Grade Musical - January 29
There will be a role for everyone, from those who want to be in the spotlight to those who’d rather hang back in the chorus

Fourth Grade Video
Video will include a slideshow of memories from their time at Boone, baby pictures of their classmates, and a recording of the Fourth Grade Musical.

Fourth Grade Legacy Wall
The fourth graders will get to make their mark on Boone by decorating an item or area at the school that will remain on display through the following year. Details are still in the works.

End of Year Swim Party - tentatively May 24
The traditional end of year swim party will be held at the UP pool or a similar venue.

Last Day of School Family Picnic & Clap Out – May 27
Fourth graders and their parents are invited to a special celebration and picnic on the last day of school. We’ll have burgers, snow cones, and a fun photo booth. Lunch for the students is included in the Fourth Grade Activities Fee. Lunch for parents can be purchased in BSSU or later on our PTO website. After the picnic we’ll all go inside to enjoy the clap out! Bring your hankies!
Other Fourth Grade Student Activities
Boone Kindness & Compassion Club (BKCC)
Every fourth grader will have the option to join the BKCC to serve as a leader and ambassador for the school. Members of the BKCC will spearhead the school’s community service projects and will also be in other leadership and service roles throughout the year. More information will be provided after the start of school.

Morning Announcements Correspondents
Fourth graders will get to star in morning video announcements every week. There will be a rotation to share this responsibility throughout the year, and students will get to audition for various parts, including anchors, sports correspondents, weather reporters, sound and video technicians, etc.

Field Trips
Our fourth graders will have fun field trips throughout the year. The highlight will be a day trip to Austin in the spring to tour the state capitol and learn about Texas History! Field trip fees will be collected separately by the school at a later date.

Carnival Dunk Tank
Fourth graders can make a big splash at the Carnival by taking a turn in the dunk tank! 

Yearbook Feature- "What I want to be when I grow up"
Every fourth grader will dress up on Halloween as what they want to be when they grow up, and our yearbook will feature a special section dedicated just to these fourth graders and their big aspirations!
Just for the parents
Fourth Grade Parent Party – October 23rd
We can't let the kids have all the fun, so we're having a party just for the parents. Come get to know all your fellow 4 th grade parents at a parent party hosted at the Greths' beautiful home. Light bites and drinks will be served. Purchase tickets in Back to School Sign Up or later on our PTO website.
