Greetings From The Library Staff

Dear Friend,

Happy New Year to all of you who celebrated the Lunar New Year on January 29.  It’s the year of the snake who symbolizes intelligence, mystery, and renewal in the Chinese zodiac.  If you are curious about the many countries in Asia where the Lunar New Year is observed, check out our display in the children’s room – we have lots of great titles!

February is Black History Month which we will honor by bringing out our large collection of Black History books and works by African American authors.  We are also looking forward to a lunch & learn presentation by Loren Katsakos on the Underground Railroad in New Jersey.  Loren’s talks are always incredibly well researched and engaging, so don’t miss this one!

Looking forward to seeing you soon,

Lotte
