Greetings From The Library Staff

Dear Friend,

March is a month of many celebrations.  We will be honoring Women’s History Month, and, as something new, we will celebrate Youth Art Month with a display of works by Boonton High School seniors.  March is also Irish-American Heritage Month which we will observe with a performance by a lovely guitar concert by our old friend, Darren O’Neil.  Finally, not to be forgotten, March 24-25 are the dates of the annual NJ Makers Day, so be ready for some fun, hands-on crafts for everyone!

Come visit us soon – there’s always something fun happening at your hometown library!

Warm regards,

Lotte

Join Our Repair Cafe!

So-called Repair Cafes have sprung up all over the country to help people mend their broken stuff instead of throwing it out. If you have a special skill that you would be willing to share with your Boonton neighbors, we would love to hear from you! We are looking for all kinds of expertise -- furniture and tool repair, engine maintenance, sewing, lamp wiring, and so much more!

Please fill out this form if you would like to join us.

Let's do our part for the Right to Repair!

The drive will culminate in a item and fundraising program at the end of the month:

Staff Reading Suggestion

Number One Walking: My Life in Movies and Other Diversions is the true story of how actor/comedian Steve Martin broke into movie acting, told in almost lifelike pencil sketch-type cartoons by illustrator Harry Bliss. With humorous (of course!) illustrated anecdotes and single panel “diversions” this delightful book is perfect for an hour or two of entertainment and laughs.
