This 1-day course is designed for individuals who work on or near energized electrical systems and complies with the requirements of Cal/OSHA (at or less than 600 volts) and NFPA 70E, Standard for Electrical Safety. Attendees receive the 2018 UGLY's Electrical Safety book.

OTC 114 Cal/OSHA 30-Hour General Industry

Specific to CA AB 2799 Cannabis Industry requirements

VIRTUAL ZOOM CLASS

December 5-15 (8 Half-Days)

This course covers OSHA general industry requirements and teaches safety awareness, which helps in recognizing and reducing the risks of job site hazards. This orientation emphasizes hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention.

IN-PERSON CLASSES

Physical distancing and safety guidelines followed, and class sizes are reduced. Proof of vaccination status is required on the Pleasanton campus only.

VIRTUAL INSTRUCTOR-LED ZOOM CLASSES

In Region IX OSHA numbered Virtual, Instructor-Led classes offered via Zoom are only available to participants located in California, Arizona, Nevada, Hawaii, Guam, American Samoa and the Northern Mariana Islands. Call 866-936-6742 if you are unsure if this applies to you.

About the OSHA Training Institute Education Center

The OSHA Training Institute Education Center at Chabot-Las Positas Community College District is part of a select network of nonprofit organizations in the U.S. authorized by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to provide occupational safety and health training to employers and workers.

We deliver OSHA standards-based classes In-Person and Virtual Instructor-Led (Zoom) for construction, maritime, disaster site and general industries in California, Nevada, Arizona, Hawaii, Guam, American Samoa and the Northern Mariana Islands. Class sizes are limited, so early registration is strongly advised.
