Dear Falcons,
We are preparing for a safe return to in-person campus services and classes on Monday, March 7.
COVID-19 keeps changing. To stay safe, we must also change. The most recent health guidelines are defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Los Angeles Department of Public Health that now strongly encourage an Up-to-Date Vaccine Status, which includes a booster shot. You can find more information about it on our COVID-19 webpage.
Vaccination Status vs. Up-to-Date Vaccine Status
Although you may be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, students are strongly encouraged to have Up-to-Date Vaccine Status to access on-campus services and in-person classes. If you are eligible for a booster shot but do not receive one by Monday, February 21, you will need to test weekly to access campus services in person.
As defined by the CDC, you are fully vaccinated if:
· Two (2) weeks after your second dose of Moderna or Pfizer
· Two (2) weeks after your J&J/Janssen dose
Up-to-Date Vaccine Status means:
1. You are fully vaccinated with all recommended COVID-19 vaccine doses
2. and have received a booster dose, when eligible
Proof of Up-to-Date Vaccine Status and Testing
To ensure you receive a wristband to access in-person classes and services when you are on campus, submit proof of your up-to-date booster shot through OptimumHQ by Monday, February 21. If you are eligible for a booster shot and have not received one, please submit to weekly testing. Proof of a negative COVID-19 test must be submitted 72 hours before your arrival on campus. Results from at-home COVID-19 tests will not be accepted.
Testing on Campus by COVID Clinic
Our new testing partner is COVID Clinic. Free testing is available on campus Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. The Clinic is located inside of the Auto Partners Building lobby in parking lot #10 (across from Campus Police). Enter from New Falcon Way or 166th Street.
More information about on-campus testing by COVID Clinic will be emailed to you separately with the email subject: Campus COVID-19 Testing by COVID Clinic. Check your spam folder if you have not received the email. Visit our COVID-19 website for more information.
