That's it. We've had enough of all of you for this year and we're going home! No really, we're legit going to stay home for a couple weeks at least and put our feet up ... maybe add a little somethin' somethin' in our morning coffee ... and we're going to relax!
This is my final email for 2021 and it's a two part thank you email. Let me start with those that are most important to us ... and no, it's not you, 'the golfer'.
To our most valued asset at Copetown Woods ... #TeamCW. It was a 2021 season goal to come out of the gates and build the best possible team for this year, and we checked that box early. Our team consists of over 100 hard working, dedicated, friendly, and fun individuals. To ask anyone to wake up at 4:00am to come and cut grass, rake bunkers, make coffee, bake muffins and put a happy face on to welcome golfers who wake up at that time to golf at an ungodly hour ... well that's not an easy ask, but we've got those people. To ask anyone to work in a hot kitchen or serve on the patio when it's 40+ with the humidity outside, to gently ask the golfers that think they'll be on TOUR to speed up a bit, or to clean carts that look like a teenagers room when some people are done with them ... that's not an easy ask either, but we've got those people.
On behalf of me, my family and on behalf of every person that golfed and ate here in 2021 ... thank you!
Now it's your turn. The golfers. The diners. The bride/groom that had to postpone their wedding again ... thank you! Myself and my management team assembled the best possible team here for a couple reasons. First, it makes our life easier when we have good people working for us. But we truly wouldn't care as much as we do if we didn't like you and all of our guests and want to provide the best possible experience for you each and every time you come to CW.
We've been through a lot in the past two years and we've been fortunate to be able to provide an outlet for everyone. Golf has boomed ... no doubt about it. But I don't see it changing any time soon here at CW as we've got an amazing group of people that love to spend time here.

I'll be bored in a couple weeks and will look forward to the crazy days ... so the planning will start for the 2022 season. The 3am stare at the ceiling ideas will start to be put in motion, the recruiting will begin and the brand partnership conversations will commence. Until then ... I'm putting my feet up and getting a buzz off my morning coffee!
