J.Q. Kenyon is a Borah High alumnus who graduated in 2004 after participating in Borah football and basketball. Borah Football has played a major role in JQ's life, as his father served as a teacher, school administrator and assistant football coach in the Boise School District for 32 years. JQ spent many summer and fall seasons in the Borah weight room and practice fields. Borah Pride has been instilled in him from an early age and inspires him to this day.
JQ's football playing career includes playing as a tight end and defense end for Borah High from 2002 to 2004 and playing tight end for the University of Montana-Western from 2005 to 2008.
His coaching career includes serving as Offensive Assistant Coach at Twin Falls High School from 2009 to 2014 and serving as Defense Line Coach/Defense Coordinator at Borah High School from 2015 to present. He also coached basketball at Twin Falls High School.
After working for six years as a coach and U.S. History teacher at Twin Falls High School, JQ accepted a position at Borah from one of his former coaches, Darren Corpus, to serve for one year as Borah's Defensive Line Coach. The following five years, he worked as Borah's Defensive Coordinator for Head Coach Jason Burton.
Coach Kenyon is proudly married to Whitney Kenyon and they have 2 young sons Q. and Jacem, along with many extended family members in the Treasure Valley.
