College Students can Apply Now for a Spring 2025 Work Experience Opportunity in K-12 Education

The K-16 Collaborative is offering paid internships for undergraduate college students interested in pursuing careers in teaching

  • Students serve in positions such as Academic Tutor or Instructional Assistant and are paid $20/hour for up to 240 hours (includes up to 40 hours for training and ongoing support)


  • Districts are looking for support in a wide variety of content areas, including math, English, AVID, science and history. Students with a background in STEM are in especially high demand in K-12 education and are encouraged to apply!


  • The purpose of this program is to increase the participation of underrepresented student populations in K-12 Education by diversifying the education pipeline.

Student application is open

October 4 - November 3


The on-site work experience will take place February - June, 2025

The K-16 Collaborative, San Diego & Imperial County Offices of Education and the Regional Golden State Pathways Program are offering multiple Communities of Practice (CoP) for educators across the Southern Border Region.


A community of practice brings together a group of people around a particular body of work. Getting to spend time with others who are facing the same challenges and have the same passions allows you to learn from one another, align systems and build your network.

Grant Announcements

Quarterly Narrative Reporting:

For anyone receiving funds, the narrative report is due on October 24. Please use your district’s template for submission. If you need access to your narrative report template please contact Mayra.

 

Quarterly Invoicing:

Quarterly invoicing for spending between July 1-Sep 30, 2024 is due October 24. Please submit your invoice with a copy of the general ledger for any spending between July 1-Sep 30, 2024 by October 24. Please contact Mayra with any questions.


Budget Modification Requests:

If you need to request a budget modification for any of your approved projects please contact Mayra. Requests must be submitted by December 13 to adjust for any expenses from July 1 to Dec 31, 2024.


School Data:

If you have not submitted your 2023-24 data yet, please get that completed ASAP! This is required of all educational partners.
