Call for Presenters! Health program educators across the region will share about equitable access to innovative training pipelines, skills-based curriculum development, and academic pathways aligned with evolving workforce demands. Register by January 26th!

Register your interest in attending by Monday, January 26, 2026. Due to limited capacity, we want to ensure that all K-16 segments and content areas are represented. Registrations will be confirmed via separate email no later than Tuesday, January 27, 2026. San Diego and Imperial County educators will receive priority confirmation.

Strategic Fund Announcement

The K-16 Collaborative is excited to release approximately $1.4 million for partner and consortium awards. Projects must include at least 1 community college (lead), and at least 1 high school and/or public university partner in San Diego or Imperial counties.


Example project topics include: Early college credit, inclusive student supports, embedded work-based learning, guaranteed pathways, pathway development and alignment within the K-16 Collaborative and CA Jobs First pathways listed below.

annual Future Educators Summit,

sponsored by Project R.I.S.E. and

This annual event provides an opportunity

for your CTE Education Pathway and Dual Enrollment students to tour the CSUSM campus, participate in collaborative workshops, and learn all about becoming an educator from university faculty, teacher candidates, and regional partners.The Future Educators Summit at CSUSM is Wednesday, January 28, 2026.

The third annual Future Educators Summit is a collaboration among San Diego County community colleges, universities, and TK-12 schools seeking to increase the visibility and awareness of educator pathways for middle/high school, undergraduate and graduate students. This event will provide information to the audience about various aspects of becoming an educator, including the many pathways to get there! The 4th annual Future Educators Summit at San Diego Mesa College is Friday, March 6th, 2026. You’ll hear directly from employers on a panel discussing emerging hiring trends and what they’re looking for in entry-level talent.

K-16 Communities of Practice

K-16 Educators in STEM, across San Diego & Imperial,

are Invited to Attend!

The K-16 Collaborative has joined forces with the San Diego County Office of Education to offer multiple Communities of Practice for Regional Golden State Pathways Program (GSPP) and non-GSPP K-16 educators across the Southern Border Region.


CoPs are designed to support and engage faculty from high school, community college, and university. By working together to bridge the disconnects in our educational pipelines, we can meet the needs of all students in San Diego and Imperial counties.

Grant Reminders!

Invoicing: 

Quarterly invoicing for spending between October 1-December 31 is due January 24. Please submit your invoice with a copy of the general ledger and travel backup documentation if applicable. Should you any questions please contact Mayra.


Reporting Due January 24: 

  • Data Reporting- Please complete the enrollment data for Year 4 (2025-26). If you haven't completed previous year data, please complete it ASAP. If you require access to your data submission form, please email Christine or Mayra.
  • Expenditure Reporting: Bi-annual expenditure reports for spending between July 1–December 31 are due January 24. If you have any questions, please get in touch with Mayra.
  • Narrative Reporting: For anyone receiving funds, the quarterly narrative report is due on January 24. Please utilize your district’s template for submission. If you need access to your narrative report template, please email Mayra.
