Undergraduate College Student Internship Applications will be Closing Soon!

Business, Computing, Engineering application closes Friday, April 12th at 11:59pm

  • As of this morning, 483 students have applied region-wide
  • 123 companies are participating in the program
  • Of the 413 positions, there are over 200 Business opportunities, over 100 Computing opportunities, and about 90 Engineering opportunities
  • All companies and positions can be found HERE


There are plenty of business, computing, and engineering opportunities for your students! We want to fill as many positions as possible. Please continue to spread the word and encourage your students to apply by this Friday, April 12th!

Education Work Experience Program application closes Thursday, April 18th at 11:59pm

  • The application deadline has been extended to ensure maximum participation.
  • Over 200 work experience positions available across San Diego and Imperial counties!

The K-16 Collaborative is joining forces with the San Diego and Imperial County Offices of Education and the Regional Golden State Pathways Program to offer multiple Communities of Practice (CoP) for educators across the Southern Border Region. CoPs are designed to support and engage faculty at all levels: high school, community college, and university. By working together to bridge the disconnects in our educational pipelines, we can meet the needs of all students in San Diego and Imperial counties. For more information, visit the K-16 Website.

Round 2 is Coming!


24-25 Work Plans and Budget Applications were sent out to all San Diego and Imperial County school districts earlier this week. Applications for 24-25 are due by May 31, 2024. Please check your inbox for an email from Jamie!


Round 2 Info Session - Please mark your calendars for Thursday, April 11th, 10-11am for an informational session on K-16 funding for the 24-25 school year. LEAs who did not participate in R1 can still apply for R2!


Schedule Your Check In Meeting - If your LEA received funding for the 23-24 school year, we are kindly requesting that you schedule a check-in meeting with us to discuss current year spending and project progress. Please USE THIS LINK to schedule that 30-minute "HS Contract" meeting sometime before April 26th.

CCGI Implementation

As we enter the last quarter of the 23-24 school year, we hope that all of our partners are working towards CCGI implementation.

Postsecondary Information

The Application for Verified Programs in Business is Coming in Spring 2024


In partnership with the San Diego Regional EDC and the Imperial Valley EDC, the K-16 Collaborative will be rolling out the verified program application for Business programs in late Spring 2024. The new Talent Demand Report will be released in June! View the 2020 report.


Stay tuned for more information. In early May, we will provide information to the business administration and faculty at the community colleges and universities about how to get involved.

Important K-16 Collaborative Reporting Reminder


Narrative reporting for activities from Jan 1-March 31, as well as invoicing, will be due April 25. Please reach out to Mayra if you have any questions.
