From the Borough Clerk
Attention Pet Owners - Check Your Pet’s Rabies Expiration Date
When the Clerk’s office begins annual pet license renewals on March 1, you will need to present a rabies Vaccination Certificate valid through January 1, 2026 to receive a 2025 license. Animals whose vaccination expires before January 1, 2026 must receive a booster vaccination prior to licensure. Please check your pet’s rabies expiration date now, and if necessary, plan a booster vaccination in order to renew in a timely manner.
Free Rabies Clinics are available locally. Select the links before for more information.
All dogs and cats are required to be licensed annually. Failure to have obtained a 2025 license by
March 31 will result in late fees and possible fines. The Clerk’s office will begin processing renewals on March 1. Newly acquired dogs must be licensed within 10 days of acquisition or within 10 days of reaching the licensing age of 7 months. Cats brought into the Borough must be licensed within 90 days or upon reaching the licensing age of 5 months.

Food Residue, Diapers, and Pizza Boxes
Rinse out food residue before you recycle it. Excessive food contamination ruins our recycling. Disposable diapers are not recyclable! Please keep them out of your recycling bin.
