May is finally here, and so is the beginning of the dive season. The water temps are just about at the 50 degree mark, and the air temps are now in the 70s. What are you waiting for!?!? Its time to dive...
Last Call For the North Carolina Trip. I have 4 spots available for the May 18th & 19th charters. I have more information below in the charters section.
June 1st - Atomic, Zeagle & Big Blue Demo Day.
The sales rep for Atomic, Big Blue dive lights, and Zeagle will be offering equipment demos for various products all day on June 1st. I have 4 short charters planned for the day, so that you can test dive some equipment. There will also be a BBQ in the afternoon, and the whole event is FREE. Making some reservations ahead of time is recommend, but to necessary. I have 6 spots available for each short charter, so space is limited. Call the shop to make reservations or for more information.

Shark Cage Dive Trip in Maine - August 10th & 11th. I have booked 2 nights & 2 days of diving off the "Lady Anne" out of Port Cylde, Maine. One day of diving off Monhegan Island, and one day of diving with the sharks. Plus 2 nights at a waterfront cottage. Cost is $440.00 per person for the weekend. Summer hours are now in effect. Check out the dive shop page for new summer hours

DEMO DAY
If your interested in a Atomic regulator, or a Zeagle BCD, or a new dive light, you need to come to the Demo Day on June 1st. The event runs from 9am to 5pm on Saturday. Your welcome to put a dive or two on some demo equipment. I will also be offering 15% off all new orders and puchases on the demo brands that day only.
I still have a few Atomic Split Fins in stock. Normally $175.00, now only $100.00 while supplies last. In stock fins only.
The "Rent-To-Own" program is up and running. I already have a few people taking advantage of the program. More details are at the dive shop.

Boston SCUBA Charters

New for 2013
Starting in May, dive boat charters will be offered Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays. The Thursday charters will be new this year, instead of the Monday charters. As always, the weekday charters will run from 2pm to 7pm, and the weekend & holiday charters from 10am to 4pm.
North Carolina Trip:
Diving on: Saturday May 18th & Sunday May 19th
Diving with: Diver Down / Capt. Bobby Cox
I currently have 4 spaces left for the trip. Space is limited, so book ASAP.
The cost of diving is $120.00 per diver/per day. Bobby has rental 100cuft tanks for $17.00 per tank/per day, or fills for $12.00 each.
I'm staying with: Fisherman's Inn / Billy Brewer
You can book your charter spots through Boston SCUBA, and make your motel reservations with Billy. You can also make your own travel plans. The drive is about 14 hours. I would recommend car pooling with others in the group.
If you are new to North Carolina diving, here is a little info. First, most of the diving is 100 foot plus, so you will need to be at least AOW certified. You will be diving in the gulf stream, about a 2 hour boat ride offshore to most dive sites. The water is pretty warm, upper 60s to low 70s, vis is about 40 to 60 feet. We will be diving on shipwrecks, and seeing some large sand tiger sharks!!

Maine Diving Trip
August 10th & 11th
I have booked a great trip for August. 2 Nights in a waterfront cottage, and 2 days of diving. Departure from Boston Friday afternoon, relax at the cottage on Friday night, dive Saturday, cottage again Saturday night, and dive on Sunday. Saturday's dive will be at Monhegan Island, and Sunday's dive is a shark dive. You can get into a shark cage, and see some blue sharks swim by. The total package is $440.00. You can reserve your space with Boston SCUBA. We will be diving with Capt. Dave Sinclair. Here is a link for more information. I have 5 spots available.

Our courses cover all the classroom and pool training for the PADI Open Water Diver Course. In order to finish your certification, you will still need 4 open water training dives. We offer these training dives locally from May through October, or you can complete your training dives while on vacation.
Open Water Training Dives:
- Students completing all the classroom & pool training will be given referral forms to complete their training dives.
- Training dives can be completed while on vacation in warm water area.
- Boston SCUBA offers the training dives locally from May to October.
