Yom Kippur Begins Sunday, September 20th at Sundown
Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, is the holiest day in the Jewish year and the culmination of the Ten Days of Repentance that begin with Rosh Hashanah. It is observed with a 25-hour fast, prayer, and deep reflection as Jews seek forgiveness for the past year’s shortcomings and hope to be inscribed in the Book of Life. For many Jewish people it is a time of spiritual renewal that draws even those who are not regularly observant to synagogue and to acts of repentance and reconciliation.
From the Boulder County Republicans to our Jewish friends: May this Yom Kippur bring you meaningful reflection, forgiveness, and a year of peace, health, and blessing.

Boulder County Republicans Need Election Judges and Election Watchers for the General Election in November!
Boulder County Republicans are asking party members to step up and serve as Election Judges and Election Watchers in the General Election in November!
What do Election Judges do?
They represent their political party and are temporary, paid election workers who are responsible for conducting the election as administered by the clerk’s staff.
Working in bipartisan teams, they perform a wide range of tasks.
Main Duties of Election Judges
- At Vote Centers:
- Check in voters and verify identification when required.
- Issue ballots and assist voters with voting machines or accessible voting options.
- Help with curbside voting and provisional ballots.
- Manage lines and maintain order at polling locations.
- Mail Ballot Processing:
- Signature verification on mail ballots.
- Ballot duplication (when a ballot is damaged or hard to read).
- Sorting and scanning ballots.
- Other Roles:
- Ballot runners (transporting ballots securely).
- Outdoor ballot box attendants.
- Voter registration and address updates.
- Setting up and closing down Vote Centers.
More info from the CO SoS on Election Judges and Election Judges Training
What do Election Watchers do?
These are observers appointed to watch the process, not run it.
- Appointed by candidates, political parties, or issue committees.
-
Their role is to observe and verify that the election is conducted fairly and according to law.
- They can be present during key activities, including:
- Setup and operation of Vote Centers
- Voter check-in and ballot issuance
- Mail ballot processing and signature verification
- Ballot scanning and tabulation
- They must stay in designated areas, cannot interfere with voters or election judges, and have rules on how close they can get and what they can do
- They provide transparency and an extra layer of public oversight
Don't let the Democrats do all the judging and watching!
More info on Election Watchers from the CO SoS website: Election Watchers
Election Watchers Official Training to become an Election Watcher: Election Watchers Training
If you're interested in serving as an Election Judge or an Election Watcher in the General Election, please reply now to this email or send an email to PCAGE@BOCOGOP.ORG!

Meet Our Candidates in Berthoud & Estes Park! | | No registration needed, just show up! | | | | |
|
James Wiley, Republican candidate for Colorado Secretary of State, is crossing the state, teaching people how to hand count paper ballots, and having competitions wherever he goes. The fastest time so far is one hour, three minutes for a team of four working in duplicate and auditing each step, to number, create a cast vote record, and aggregate 100 ballots. In a normal precinct with 1,500 voters, starting at 8 a.m., two teams should be able to finish hand counting the election by about one hour after the polls close.
Watch to see how it was done here in Boulder County! More info at Colorado Counts Arapahoe!

Notes from the Desk of BCR Chairman, Peg Cage
“Pick something and do it.” That’s the advice frequently given by my dear friend Peggy Knight. Although she died three years ago, I still meet people who were impacted by Peggy, and most always their stories begin with “We worked on (some project) together…”
So, here we are in Boulder County with just under a month from when the ballots drop for the “most important election in our lifetime.” (They are all the most important!) The question Peggy would ask is “What are you going to DO about it?” We’re hoping you’ll join us, remembering IT’S OKAY TO BE RIGHT, and boldly promote the values and principles of the Republican platform by getting out the vote for our candidates and ballot initiatives.
The Boulder County Republican’s elected officers, the office workers, and other volunteers are a great team to work with. The newsletter, the website, the calendar, OurBCR.org, the Lincoln Dinner and many other events, the literature we have available, the classes, the tools for walking with the candidates, and friendly people to sit and talk with at the office – the volunteers who DO SOMETHING make BCR what it is. I’m also grateful for the new people bringing their energy and ideas to help make BCR a stronger, more impactful organization for the county. Together, we can really make a difference. Even though Republican registration is low in Boulder County, Dan Woog for HD19 and Rob Woodward for SD15 could win if they had our county’s Republican votes in their districts.
Enough from me, you know I’d love to have you pick something and do it!

Why Support Boulder County Republicans?
Boulder County is one of the bluest counties in Colorado, but conservatives cannot afford to sit this one out. Every donation to the Boulder County Republican Party is used wisely and responsibly.
Your contribution directly helps us:
- Recruit, train, and support strong candidates for local offices (County Commissioner, City Council, School Board, and more)
- Fight for honest elections, lower taxes, fiscal responsibility, and common-sense policies in our own backyard
- Reach unaffiliated and conservative voters through persistent grassroots efforts
- Maintain our physical office, website, and active social media presence — all essential tools for communicating with voters and building long-term infrastructure in a challenging county
We are fiscally responsible with every dollar we receive and focus on making smart, effective use of donor funds to maximize impact.
Local races shape your daily life — your taxes, schools, housing costs, and freedoms. While national attention comes and goes, sustained local organizing is what creates real change over time.
If you believe Boulder County deserves a strong, principled Republican voice, please chip in today. Even modest donations help us keep the lights on and the message alive.

Thank you for investing in conservative values right here in Boulder County!
