May 7th is the National Day of Prayer
This federal observance, designated by the U.S. Congress and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman in 1952, invites Americans of all faiths to pray and meditate for the nation.
The theme for this year is "Glorify God Among the Nations, Seeking Him in All Generations," inspired by 1 Chronicles 16:24. The day will feature tens of thousands of local gatherings across the United States and its territories, with a major culminating event held at Statuary Hall in the U.S. Capitol at 6 p.m. MDT, which will be livestreamed on many channels including here.

Notes from Desk of BCR Chairman, Peg Cage
Dear Boulder County Republicans,
All five of the candidates running to fill the vacancy in the office of the Chairman of the Colorado Republican Committee (CRC) have agreed to join BCR and the Culture Impact Team at New Creation Church on May 9th for a forum where they will tell us why they think they would be best to lead this organization through the primary and general elections and until the State party holds their organizational meetings in the Spring of 2027.
The State GOP Chairman is the elected leader of what should be the largest and most influential origination in the state. They set the agenda and the attitude for the party and its candidates. A good Chairman could help clean up Colorado like President Trump is cleaning up America. (That’s not what the “news” says but check out groups like PrometheanAction.com to hear some encouraging news.)
Quick synopsis: At the Caucuses on March 3rd, 70 people stepped up to serve as Precinct Committee People (PCPs). Boulder County has about 192 precincts. Each precinct can have two PCPs, meaning our BCR Central Committee could have about 384 voting members. Until November, the Executive Committee of BCR can appoint PCPs to fill vacancies. The PCPs are voting members of the BCR Central Committee and in February will elect the next officers of Boulder County Republicans, who in turn are voting members of the Colorado Republican Committee. The PCPs also elect the Bonus Members who represent BCR at the CRC meetings. The more Republicans who vote in Boulder County in November, the more Bonus Members BCR sends to vote at the CRC meeting in March. The PCPs help BCR get out the vote! The CRC elects the 2027-2028 Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Secretary of the state party.
So, you attend the May 9 Forum and listen to the candidates. You ask your SCC members to vote for your favorite candidate. The current SCC meets on May 30th and votes for one of these candidates to fill the vacancy. Then, you become a PCP if you’re not one already. You attend BCR’s many Meet-and-Greet opportunities and help get out the vote for the primary and general elections. Then in February, you vote in the BCR Organizational meeting. You could even run to be a BCR officer or CRC Bonus Member.
I’m looking forward to doing great things with you!
Sincerely,
Peg Cage, Chairman Boulder County Republicans
