Today in LGBTQ History - October 28, 1824: The Marquis de Custine is beaten and left for dead after propositioning a male soldier in Saint-Denis. The scandal forces him out of the closet, but he lives the rest of his life as an open 'sodomite' with his partner Edward St. Barbe. Custine maintains a successful social life in Paris as a 'gay' man.

Boulder Gay Men's Social Group Meeting Monthly!

Boulder Gay Men's Social Group Bike Ride

Boulder Gay Men's Social group is one of Boulder's most active gay groups! We are a Meetup Group that has been around for about 3 years. We meet once a month for a Big Gay Dinner, either at a restaurant or lounge. And we have a monthly activity. Our goal is to provide opportunities for our gay male community to meet each other, explore a new part of the greater Boulder area, and get to know other members of the community outside of a bar setting.

Our monthly dinners are always fun with 15-30 people who turn up. We rotate between restaurants and lounges to shake things up, and always welcome new suggestions! Especially with businesses that are part of or support our community!

Our monthly activities include snow shoeing, movie nights, hikes, museum days, bike and brewery tours, beach days, burlesque shows, and occasionally getting lost in haunted corn mazes. With so much to do the in the Boulder area- we try to explore as much of it as we can!

So feel free to join our meet up group at  http://www.meetup.com/Boulder-Gay-Mens-Social-Group/  and join us for any of our 13 upcoming events!

BREAKING NEWS: Terrapin Care Station Press
Conference on Free Speech TODAY  at 1:00 PM

Starting at 1 PM today, members from Terrapin Care Station will be holding a press conference regarding fines they received for participating in Pridefest.

Chris Woods, the founder or Terrapin, shared this with Denver's Westwood newspaper: " We support and embrace the LGBT community throughout the world and locally within our community. I am outraged that we have been cited for non-compliance with the City's ordinance for publicly showing support for the LGBT community at an event celebrating social equality.

I am further enraged that the appointed City Attorney is attempting to restrict my rights as a citizen of this country by suppressing free speech and not allowing my company to show public support for the gay and lesbian community...I ask all members of LGBT community, members of the non-profit community and anyone in the community promoting social equality help me organize a peaceful protest in response.
