The Heroes of Bounce

What makes a hero? Is a hero brave and strong? Honest and truthful? Inspiring and motivating? A visionary who sees what others don’t?

When I asked my daughter, Jessica, she didn’t hesitate, “Someone who helps change the world.” Her definition nails it.

When it comes to changing the world, no one does it better than mothers. Moms, especially Bounce moms, stand tall even when afraid; face the truth when the rest of us want to run away; relentlessly engage, encourage and advocate - always focusing on what’s possible. They change the world, in ways large and small, each and every day.

The Jones Day Foundation is also a hero. It was among the first to see what Bounce could be and could do. My hat is off to Bounce moms and the Jones Day Foundation.  The world is changed – for the better!

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Jones Day Foundation for its extremely generous support.  Their commitment of a $250,000 launch gift, payable over two years, is allowing Bounce Children’s Foundation to progress ahead of original expectations and provides a base for ongoing activities as we build our fundraising program.

The Jones Day Foundation's generosity gives us an initial boost to do what we do best: create community for chronically ill children and their families to take them from simply surviving to truly thriving.

We hope all Bounce supporters find inspiration in our mission, like the Jones Day Foundation did, giving what they can and helping where they can, to enable Bounce to thrive and expand to help even more families.  Thank you to all of our supporters!
Bounce Bash a Roaring Success!  

We loved treating our Bounce families to a private screening of The Jungle Book on Saturday, April 23rd.   Kids and parents alike loved the movie, snacks, arts & crafts, and photo booth!  And, this Bounce Bash™ had a unique twist - the entire theater was reserved for Bounce making it a special, and comfortable, time together. 

Like all Bounce Bash™ events, it allowed Bounce families to connect and enjoy fun, carefree time together.  Kids and families show up for fun, and Bounce takes care of the rest! 
A Special Celebration of Bounce Moms

On Sunday, May 22nd we hosted a special Mother’s Day celebration at Diversey Rock & Bowl.

Following a private pizza lunch where each family got to make their own custom team button, we bowled and giggled our afternoon away. Everyone had tons of fun playing Bounce Bowling Bingo and getting to know each other. 

Each mom also received a special gift compliments of LWN: Love it.  Want it. Need it. and Board Member, Danny Marks. 

This Bounce Bash was a great way to appreciate our Bounce Moms for all they do.

Our new Bounce it Forward Program! This is a program in which individuals and organizations donate tickets to sports, theater and other events to Bounce which are then passed on to Bounce families.

Bounce Families: Available tickets are posted in our private Facebook group, so make sure you are registered and following this page for updates! 

Bounce Friends: To donate tickets, please visit our website.  We'll take care of the details while you look forward to hearing from the Bounce child and family about the fun they had using your tickets!
