I always have a list. Try as I might I just can’t seem to escape it. I make shopping lists, job lists, schedules, want lists, to-do lists, and the list goes on and on. Sometimes I find my prayers being nothing more than a list. I quickly breeze over the praises and the thanks so I can get to the stuff that I need. I am not proud of it and I guess because we all look for excuses to make us feel better, I am pretty sure that all of us suffer from this at one time or another.
So………this Boundless is going to only focus on the praises and blessings. As I write this I am looking out of the window and the sun is shining and the birds are singing. It is a beautiful day.
We had our spring Women’s Ministries Board meeting this past Saturday. We now have a full board. First time in several years. We also invited some guests to be part of the meeting. Thirty women gathered at the Westwood Church in Maryland Heights, Mo. all of whom were united in their purpose and have missions at heart.
Giving has started an up-hill climb.
Funding sources have been re-apportioned so that funds will be available to start some new programs that will promote missions to some of our younger ladies.
We are gaining new groups and having some of our older existing groups doing a re-start.
A new cooperation among the ministry departments of the denomination. A genuine feeling of support for Women’s Ministries.
I was touched by a passage of scripture that I read the other day which goes like this:
“Give and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full--pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.” Luke 6:38NLT
The more we receive the more responsibility we have to give out. The more we give out the more we receive. You can’t out give God! Try it sometime and then let me know how it went!
What do you have to be thankful for? What are you going to give?
Can I get a Praise God!
