Bouquet of Dreams
Believe in the Seed
In a conversation with one of my nieces she indicated that she wanted to be an actress. As I queried her and gave recommendations about fulfilling her dream, I shared with her that she should get involved with some of the local repertoire theaters. She emphatically indicated to me that she had no intention of doing that because it was gros s (my words) and went on to say that she just want to be on the big screen. Well now!
So many times we have a dream inside of us screaming to be released. More often than not, these dreams are deeply buried inside of us because we are too afraid to take a step. A step begins as a small seed that was placed inside of us before we were ever born.
Yet, the seed lies dormant waiting to be watered and cared for in order for increase to take place. Just like there was only one egg that was released from your mother that connected with the one sperm released from your father to create you and an embryo was created; God's seed of opportunity is waiting to ignite with your sperm of productivity in creating a dream of success.
According to Mike Murdock in his book Dream Seeds, "Our dreams and desires begin with photographs within our hearts and minds--things we want to happen in our future. God plants these pictures as invisible seeds within us. Dream seeds are the invisible visions within you planted by God."
In a recent YouTube video playwright and movie producer Tyler Perry, he indicated that you are given a seed or an idea that you must believe in regardless of the vicissitudes of life that may happen. You can never allow anything to stop you from believing in that dream seed or pursuing it with all your heart because it not only will manifest but it will open the door to other opportunities as well.
Each of us has a dominant gift where our dreams dwell. You know those things that you become so passionate about. It is those things that you always find yourself gravitating towards and longing to accomplish. These are the things that you daydream about becoming and achieving.
For me I have always had a burning desire to encourage others to become the best person they possibly could be. It is a passion with me. Regardless, I would always gravitate towards it. My earliest recollection is when I won a writing contest for encouraging a young teenager not to commit suicide but to live. Throughout my life I've come to realize that my dominant gift, when lovingly and progressively cared for, always opens new doors of opportunities. Even now I continue developing my dominant gift through life coaching, writing, speaking, training, praying and preaching. I'm amazed at how many doors keep flinging open. Behind these doors are the wealth and riches for living an abundant life.
God is the only One who really knows how to get you to birth out your dreams and the path to their fulfillment. Just like my niece, oftentimes we are the very ones who place the barriers preventing us from fulfilling our dreams. Just like when I wrote that award-winning essay I had no idea it would be the catalyst to set me down a path of fulfillment of my dream. Along the way, I had to do some other things to nurture the dominant gift. Yes, I had to battle for the gift of writing that is so vital to the expansion of the gift. I have never given up! Neither can you!
You have to keep believing in the idea . . . in the dream seed that has been placed inside of you. It is that seed, when nurtured, grows and blossoms into a creative bouquet of opportunities and fulfilled dreams. It all began with a dream seed.
