COMPOUND ARCHERY TO MAKE OLYMPIC DEBUT AT LA28

After years of anticipation, compound archers will finally have a shot at Olympic gold. Following a rejected bid in 2023 and a successful appeal, the IOC announced on April 9 that a compound team event will be included in the 2028 LA Olympics. This historic decision not only excites archers but also opens the door to growing global interest in compound archery.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service released an addendum to its 2022 National Survey of Fishing, Hunting and Wildlife-Associated Recreation, offering the first national estimates since 1955 of archery (19 million) and firearm (47 million) target shooters. Released in February, the report explores target shooter demographics and behaviors through survey point estimates.

S3DA is an after-school initiative that can be run through schools, archery shops, churches, fire stations, wildlife depts., ASA clubs, NFAA clubs and JOAD clubs. S3DA seeks to provide understanding and respect for natural resources and the environment, with emphasis on modern wildlife conservation and regulated sport hunting.

Sports are designed to bring us together.
