Summer Camp complete for Constant Contact and I received my badge for doing it. Whoopee! However, there is swag coming my way for doing so. CTCT typically has pretty decent swag! Whoopee!
AND, Don't believe everything you read - especially when it comes to the hype of the next amazing AI tools - even I get sucked in and boy am I peeved!
And, I'm not sure who I am upset with more, myself or the so-called gurus promising the world to unsuspecting people trying to earn a buck! You can imagine my news feed on facebook is filled with ads with the latest and greatest marketing offers - you know the ones 'I made $1 million in 6 months just doing this'. (I wrote an article on this). In the past week, I tried two different offers - not because I really needed the tools, but because A) I wanted to see what is being offered in the way of new AI tools, and B) I was researching new tools for something one of my clients is looking for. Well, both were just crap - one is so simplistic, I'd be embarrassed to use the result, and the other system - it just didn't work. I crashed the system 5x trying it, the results were horrible. And in both cases these tools would supposedly save you time and money - NOT! If you want to know what tools they are – message me.
Wow, was I impressed with a young entrepreneur I met last week. He was referred to me for our free marketing strategy session by a friend – the friend knowing full well there probably wouldn’t be any work for me at the moment, but thought I could help this young lad! Honestly – he is going to build his dream! I haven’t met anyone like him in a long while! He sat intently listening, taking notes, asking questions and providing me with solid answers to the questions I asked. Before arriving at the meeting, he had also sent me his business plan to read and critique. This lad is in his 20s! He promised to follow the suggestions I made and would keep me informed of his progress. I promised to connect him with some of my connections who could use his services… I will share the name of his business in the local issue of the newsletter (whenever I get my database segmented). If all business owners were like him – we would all have thriving businesses!
