A Milestone for Downtown Boynton Beach
On Friday, May 9, the City of Boynton Beach and the CRA broke ground on The Villages—a major mixed-use development by Edgewater Capital.
The project will bring 336 residential units, 668 parking spaces, 8,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, two plazas, and a pedestrian-friendly linear park connecting Boynton Beach Boulevard to Ocean Avenue.
This marks a significant step in shaping a vibrant, walkable downtown and reflects strong investor confidence in Boynton Beach.

Wrapping Up the Boynton Beach Business Quest
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the first-ever Boynton Beach Business Quest. From May 4 to 10, our community came together to celebrate Small Business Week and spotlight local businesses through a fun and engaging citywide scavenger hunt.
We extend our sincere thanks to the businesses that made this event possible—from those who hosted photo stops to those who supported behind the scenes. A special thank you to our event sponsors: El Atico, Famous Faces & Funnies 2, Bailey’s Blends, Elan Salon, and Fused in Glass. Your generosity and commitment helped bring the Quest to life.
This was just the beginning. We look forward to growing this event and continuing to create new ways to connect, engage, and celebrate Boynton Beach’s dynamic business community.

Have A Question? Ask ED
Submit your question below for a chance to have it featured in our next newsletter.
Q: "I found the perfect space for my clothing boutique in Boynton Beach. What do I need to make sure I can legally open?"
A: Before you welcome your first customer, you will need to secure the proper approvals. This may include a Certificate of Use and Occupancy (Rental License) to ensure your space is approved for retail use. If any work is being done that involves excavation or pavement cutting, you may also need an Engineering Permit.
Requirements can vary based on the location and type of work involved. For the most accurate guidance, reach out to Community Standards at communitystandards@bbfl.us—or Ask ED to point you in the right direction.
