Morton Boys & Girls Club had the challenge of trying to connect to members when their Club wasn't able to open for in-person programming during the pandemic.
"Staff are always willing to take on new challenges. Once the COVID-19 pandemic arose, the birth of VOICE (Virtual Online Interactive Club Experience) sparked a new direction for Boys & Girls Club. We were very eager to hop on board so we could engage with our members during this most challenging time. We had a ball finding new and eventful ways to reach our members," said Site Director, Stephanie Henderson.
For Clubs like Morton Boys & Girls Club, who share their site with a school, connecting to their Club members seemed like an impossible challenge!
"With VOICE being a new form of programming, we had an initial struggle to get members informed and involved. But once they signed on, our members were hooked. Members became more involved in their classes, in projects and showed an overall great deal of interest in what Morton Boys & Girls Club was providing," said Henderson.
Now, Morton Boys & Girls Club is thriving! We are proud of their hard-work to keep Club members safe, informed and entertained!
