Summer, 2022 Tryout Announcement
Albany Power Boys Summer 2022 Tryouts
Dear Parents,

Albany Power is happy to announce tryouts for the 2022 Summer Program. This tryout is a shift in program philosophy to help address the changing landscape of club lacrosse. The 2022 Power program will operate under a hybrid club model... promoting full year programs for competitive athletes that maintains respect for the sanctity of scholastic sports.

We believe that this model will provide the right amount of practice, competition, and rest to allow players and programs in Section II to grow while also maintaining strong relationships with school sports, promoting life-long friendships and player skill that can be showcased at the highest level of high school and college lacrosse.

For 14 years, Albany Power has provided players in The Capital Region with this highest level of instruction and support, and we are excited for the opportunity to work with your son this year!

2021 Fall and Winter Sessions
Fall and Winter Sessions this year will be open only to players rostered on Albany Power Summer 2022 Teams and 2022 Graduating Seniors.

Fall 2021- Sunday evening practices at Schenectady High School on 9/12, 9/19, 9/26, 10/3, 10/11, 10/17, 10/24. The program cost is $295.

These sessions have been specifically scheduled to avoid scholastic sports. Players will participate in a combination of practice and training model experiences that will optimize player skill through repetition and specific skills training. We intentionally do not schedule fall tournaments for Power teams to respect the high school tournament schedule established by Section II head coaches.

We will hold the CPR Fall Showcase on Friday, November 12th.

Winter 2021/2022- Sunday morning practices at Afrim's Dome in Latham. These sessions will look similar to our regular winter session with the addition of opportunities for box lacrosse and individual, small group, instruction throughout the winter. Registration will open for this program in October.

Recruiting Information for 2022-2025 Players
When it's time to start thinking about the next level, it's time to connect with Albany Power. We hear from hundreds of coaches each year about high school players, and every year, every Power player has the opportunity to graduate and compete at the next level if they so choose.

This fall, we'll be releasing a Recruiting Profile Questionnaire, and we'll be scheduling a Recruiting Seminar on Zoom this winter. Players and parents in the 2022-2025 class will all be invited to join.
