Growing Demand Brings a Third Session of Alzheimer Society of Muskoka’s Adult Day Program
What began as a new program for local families has quickly become something participants and caregivers don’t want to see end.
Following two successful sessions and overwhelmingly positive feedback, the Alzheimer Society of Muskoka is pleased to announce a third session of its Adult Day Program, beginning this fall.
The program is making a meaningful difference for both people living with dementia and the caregivers who support them. Participants have embraced the opportunity to socialize, stay active and take part in engaging activities, while caregivers have gained something equally valuable: time to breathe, recharge and attend to their own needs.
For the Alzheimer Society of Muskoka, the continued demand demonstrates just how important accessible respite and meaningful social opportunities are for families living with dementia.
Registration is now open for the third session, with limited spaces available.
The program is located at 98 Pine St., Bracebridge, and runs from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Participants may attend Mondays or Thursdays during the session.
For more information or to register, please contact Alistair at 705-645-5621 Ext. 110 or acameron@alzheimermuskoka.ca.
