Dear Bradfield Families,

What FUN!!!! I am so grateful so many of you came out to celebrate Bradfield’s Centennial Auction! Last night was 17 months in the making, and hours and hours of tireless hard work, creative thinking, courage, impeccable organization and remarkably great attitudes by our incredible Auction Chairs and Auction Committee.

I want to extend my utmost gratitude to Caitlin Bonner, Lauren Calano and Courtney McCauley. First, for saying yes when I asked them to take on this herculean effort last fall. It’s a very easy no, and these girls said yes with a lot of optimism and excitement, and they have carried their upbeat attitudes to see through a super fun party and a very successful fundraiser during this meaningful year. No words are great enough to describe their efforts. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Their auction team was also enthusiastic as ever, and took on many many tasks, both great and small. These moms are not afraid to go to bat on behalf of our school by asking for donations, making countless phone calls and follow ups, putting together projects and helping with any and every task to help our auction raise funds that will support our students and staff for years to come. Members of the Auction Committee are Maggie Apple, Lindsey Baker, Courtney Beaver, Alexandra Brodrick, Katy Brooks, Erika Burton, Whitney Carroll, Graham Cocklin, Claudia Conard, Carolyn Cross, Jessica Dale, Peydon Dowd, Stephanie Ernst, Erin Fuge, Sarah Ganier, Emily Haddock, Whitney Harmon, Katherine Heaney, Marjon Henderson, Erin Hodges, Rachel Huff, Nicki Johnston, Mary Frances Kearney, Laura McCallan, Stephanie Marynick, Holly Navarre, Luci Robinson, Genevieve Short, Samantha Snell, Brett Underwood, Alexa Watts, Liz Wilson, and Shannon Young.

There are two unsung heroes who made our party perfect, as they do any event they take on. Bradfield moms Missy Peck and Medley Turner are MASTERS of planning, of ideas and of execution. They have been infinitely generous with their time and talents, during a time in life when those resources for them are precious. I am beyond grateful.

Another important thank you goes to the many Bradfield families who donated both financially and in kind with trips, sports tickets, vacation homes, special experiences, their homes, and items from their businesses. Our staff also deserve a HUGE thank you for their time! Teacher of the Day and staff Gifts of Time are pure generosity on their part to help support our fundraising efforts. Thank you!

I would also like to extend thanks to the other PTA officers who served as sounding boards and offered great advice and support throughout the planning process. These include Rachel Reed, Jen Morton, Katie Patterson, Abby Evans, Kelly Sporich, Allison Small, Cindy Revol, Sara Shuart, Corrie Rae, Lee Drummond, and Aubrey Labanowski.

And the fun isn’t over! It’s Silent Auction go time! Details on closing times are below. Get online and get your bids in!

With great thanks,

Kamela Aboussie
