Greetings Bradley Beach-

We’ll keep the focus on 3 Infrastructure projects going on at the same time and we will continue to provide updates so that you can stay informed.

Project #1 Beachfront

Our Outfall Pipe on Ocean Park/ McCabe Avenue beaches. Progress continues through week 3. The sheathing at the ocean front is completed. The pile driver has moved from the work site and pipes for pump attachment were delivered. Next week, pumps are being delivered and we hope to see our first outfall pipe shipment by next weeks end.

Project #2 Completing the “Phase II” Sewer project.

The curbing and apron work is progressing on schedule. We are moving west on Third Ave. and will hopefully finish this street early next week. Milling/ paving should begin soon thereafter.

Project #3 Walking Bridge

The walking bridge on Lake Terrace Drive between Bradley Beach and Ocean Grove began a needed facelift. We are waiting for the new wire guards that will complement the wooden railings. This style is like the construction on the new pier in Ocean Grove. Hopefully next week.

A few other non-infrastructure news items I want to mention:

I came across another team of “dune planters” this week near Brinley Ave.

Cats, Cats, and more Cats!

...Was a rousing success last weekend! Another quality production by the Arts Council!

On Friday, May 5th, we’ll have our ARBOR DAY celebration at the Second/ Third Avenue/ Main Street Park. We’ll be honoring our 8th grade graduates with a tree planting. Please join us at 3:30 PM to celebrate!

In addition, the Shade tree Commission led a tree planting last Saturday before the rains started. A very successful event.

Great events coming up- June 10th- our 130th Anniversary celebration at the Promenade and 5th Avenue Gazebo. Bradley Beach Business Community Alliance!

We had a pretty serious accident on Evergreen Ave. a few weeks ago. Residents met with our Police Team, who posted Officers and a speed sign. Please honor speed limits in town!
