The health, safety and well-being of our clients, contacts, colleagues and their families is foremost in our minds as we continue to closely monitor the COVID-19 pandemic along with the rest of the nation. Due to recent developments in the states in which we practice law, along with local government guidelines that have been issued by State of Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, City of Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, City of Bloomington, IL Mayor Tari Renner and City of Normal, IL Mayor Chris Koos; Brady Connolly & Masuda, P.C. (BCM) has made the decision to move to remote work for a majority of our attorneys and staff. We have also restricted all client meetings and unnecessary travel. We have contingency plans in place that enable us to provide you with uninterrupted service. Working remotely, our attorneys and staff will continue to be responsive to your legal and business needs. We are confident that we are taking the appropriate and necessary precautions.
All scheduled meetings will be conducted via webcast and/or telephonically with a meeting platform provided by BCM. If you have a scheduled meeting, your BCM attorney will email you the details.
Court and Commission Operation Updates
Chief Judge Timothy C. Evans announced Friday that many civil cases in the Circuit Court of Cook County will be postponed for a 30-day period starting Tuesday (March 17) due to the spread of the Coronavirus. Court operations will proceed as scheduled on Monday (March 16). The 30-day period runs from March 17 through April 15. You can read that update
