Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Mula Mantra Homam invokes Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara. The Moola mantra will be chanted while offerings are made into the Agni. All homas performed during Brahmotsavam are for the well-being of all. Performed for Lokakshemam, these Havans remove negative planetary afflictions, bestowing good health and victory.

To register to have your name included in the homa, use the link LAKSHMI VENKATESWARA HOMAM.

Evening will be a key event of the Brahmotsavam, Sri Venkateswara Swamy Kalyana Mahotsavam. Kalyana Utsavam - Sri Venkateswara, Sree Devi and Bhoo Devi kalyanam on Thurs, June 23rd will be performed. The kalyanam performed during the Brahmotsavam is for lokashanti. One of the meanings of the word Utsavam in sanskrit is "removal of worldly sorrows". By performing the wedding rituals to the Almighty , we seek that the abundant auspiciousness and prosperity that we see in Him - may that come to me.

On the philosophical level the Lord is the Supreme Self - the Paramatma, while His consort is taken as a metaphor for the Jivatma, the individual embodied soul. The union of the Divine couple is symbolic of the union of the Jiva with the Supreme. By performing the Kalyana Utsavam we seek to be relieved from the Maya of worldly sorrows and be blessed with abundant health, wealth, happiness, and prosperity.

Note: Please come in a traditional attire (Men in Dhoti or Kurta Pyjama; Women in Saree) to participate in Kalyanam.

FROM SAI SATCHARITA
Sai Satcharitra unabridged
All the sadhanas, viz. Japa (vocal worship), Tapa (penance), Yoga practice and studying the scriptures and expounding them are quite useless unless they are accompanied by Bhakti, i.e., devotion. Knowledge of the Vedas, or fame as a great Jnani, and mere formal Bhajan (worship) are of no avail. What is wanted is Loving Devotion.
