It's Brain Tumour Awareness Month!
Every day, 27 Canadians are diagnosed with a brain tumour. Brain tumours can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender, or background. They can have a profound impact on individuals, families and communities.
Brain Tumour Awareness Month is dedicated to increasing awareness, advancing research and supporting everyone affected by brain tumours. It is an opportunity to unite as a collective force, raise our voices and create positive change. There are many ways to get involved and show support!

On October 24, 2024, thousands of Canadians came together across the country to show support for the brain tumour community. Thanks to your incredible generosity, our Hats for Hope campaign raised over $26,000, with more than 1,500 items sold and support from over thirty influencers.

Congratulations to Angela Sekely and her team at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto, recipients of one of our 2024 Research Grants! Her project will focus on developing and evaluating a psychoeducational resource to support cognitive functioning in adults living with primary brain tumours.

May is also Vision Health Month. We are proud to partner with FYidoctors to shine a light on the critical connection between vision changes and early brain tumour detection. Our hope is to empower Canadians with the knowledge they need to seek care sooner. Early detection saves lives, and it often starts with an eye exam.

The Brain Tumour Walk is the largest volunteer-led, peer-to-peer fundraising event for brain tumour research and support in Canada. Each year, communities from coast to coast come together to honour and remember, to raise awareness, and to take hopeful steps toward a cure.
