Standing Together on Glioblastoma Awareness Day

On July 15, we recognize Glioblastoma Awareness Day, raising awareness of one of the most aggressive forms of brain cancer and the urgent need for better treatments and improved outcomes.

We honour the strength of those living with glioblastoma, their families and caregivers, while recognizing the researchers and health-care professionals working to advance care. We remain committed to advancing research, providing support, and advocating for better outcomes for everyone affected by a brain tumour.

A sister’s love
United by an unbreakable bond, one sister continues to honour her loved one's life by sharing her story

Stephanie describes her older sister, Ashley, as her best friend, someone who brought joy and laughter to everyone around her. After Ashley was diagnosed with glioblastoma, Stephanie remained by her side and now honours her memory by sharing her story and participating in the Brain Tumour Walk.

Bill S-5, the Connected Care for Canadians Act, would help ensure that health information can be securely shared among health-care providers when and where it is needed most.
