Looking Back on 2019 and Looking Ahead to 2020
2019
Clinical Trials

In March, we received requests for funding clinical trial research projects from five different Chicago based hospitals. Deciding which hospital to fund is a difficult decision that we do not take lightly. After our Medical Advisory Board of Physicians and Board of Directors examined the applications, we granted Northwestern Medical Lou and Jean Malnati BrainTumor Institute and the Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine $170,000 for their clinical trial!
These grants are only possible through generous donations like yours. We are so thankful for all the participation we have received; we could not do this without you!

In June 2020, we will be granting another $200,000 to fund clinical trials or research to one of our applicants!

NEW WEBSITE COMING SOON!

Ever wonder what the 3 U's in our logo mean? U the Patient, U the Family, and U the Medical; they all overlap in the logo to symbolize that they all need each other. Read more about it on our website! You can also read about the questions you may have about brain cancer, information about where our funding goes, photo galleries of our events, and our Memorial Sunflower Wall that allows us to see and remember those we have lost to brain cancer.
We want to send a special thank you to all those who volunteer for BrainUp! No one at BrainUp is paid, so everything that gets done is all volunteer work, making sure that the maximum amount of your donation can go back to research or clinical trials!
