New Mini Bar Prep Course!

Unlocking Success: Empowering LL.M. Students to Conquer the Bar Exam

We are thrilled to be part of the dedicated team committed to ensuring student success at the University of Dayton School of Law. We are excited to announce the completion of our inaugural Mini Bar Prep course, exclusively tailored for our Online LL.M. graduates.

Led by the always-entertaining Dean Tommy Sangchompuphen (as proven by his fun, LEGO-fueled background), this program promises to equip our graduates with the skills and knowledge needed to tackle the bar exam. Just another tool we've added to our “resource toolbox” to help students achieve greatness in the legal profession!

Professor and Assistant Dean of Graduate Programs Jeff Schmitt is an integral member of our Online LL.M. community.

Aside from his profound research on issues of state power within our federal system and Article IV of the Constitution, he also spearheads the University's Korea Program and Government Contracting Program.

His newly recorded Contracts & Sales course will be available to Online LL.M. students for the Fall Term.

Get to know Professor Jeff Schmitt in the Q&A below!

What's your favorite aspect of working with the Online LL.M. Program?

"I like being involved with our partner schools. The collaborative webinars are a great opportunity for me to share my views and learn how other countries approach current legal issues."

What aspects of the Fall Term are you eagerly looking forward to?

"I am excited to teach Contracts & Sales this fall (see image). I haven't taught in the program since the inaugural class, so I look forward to meeting the current students. The course has also been completely redesigned, and I can't wait to see how the students like the new content."

What do you do when you're not educating legal scholars?

"I spend most of my spare time with my family, but I also really enjoy fishing (see image). I take my son out on my boat (a 16-foot aluminum boat with a jet outboard) almost every week, and I occasionally go by myself as well. Our goal this summer is to catch a catfish that is over 30 lbs. I fish for steelhead trout and catfish in Ohio, salmon in Michigan, and various saltwater species in Florida every year. I am especially into fly fishing, and I tie all of my own flies. I have hundreds of hooks, feathers, and furs in my basement that I use to make them. I also have a fairly large collection of antique fly fishing gear, most of which I inherited from my grandfather." 🎣

Featured Flyers: Celebrating Your Success!
