Thompson, President & Chief Executive Officer of Brand USA will be providing the Friday morning keynote at the 2023 NYSTIA Annual Meeting & Tourism Excellence Awards, hosted at the Hyatt Regency Rochester on September 13-15. Chris will be speaking on the return of international travel to the United States and the vast opportunities for New York State


Brand USA is the nation's public-private partnership dedicated to increasing international visitation to the United States through marketing and promotional efforts. As the President & Chief Executive Officer, Chris is responsible for accelerating the organization’s efforts to build and execute effective marketing strategies to increase U.S. travel exports, create jobs, strengthen the economy, and help enhance the image of the United States with people all over the world. The Association of Public Historians of New York State (APHNYS) has partnered with the Office of State History at the New York State Museum to produce the New York State 250th Commemoration Field Guide which provides suggested commemorative themes, ideas, and information to help planners at the local and regional level in all parts of the state.

Governor Hochul Announces $1.8 Million in Grants Awarded to State Parks, Trails, Historic Sites, and Public Lands Partner Organizations

Governor Kathy Hochul has announced $1.8 million in grants to support 28 not-for-profit organizations involved with stewardship of state parks, trails, historic sites, and public lands, the highest amount awarded in the Park and Trail Partnership Grants program history.
