Branding is Key in Graphics

Remember when labels were all the rage? You had to have Guess jeans or a Michael Kors purse or the latest iPhone - oh wait, that is still important today.

Brands are more than just a name, a logo or a symbol but represent the quality, longevity, expertise and consistency of a company. Is your brand prevalent in all of your marketing materials, trade show display components and online presence?

Ensuring your brand message is clear and maintains its effectiveness, is an important part of the large format digital printing process. Putting your brand message on every possible surface, in and around your brick and mortar location, will help reinforce the message with consumers. Some of the ways companies display their brand image is on:
  • Banners
  • Pop-up signs
  • Window graphics
  • Outdoor signs
  • Vehicle signs
  • Building wraps
  • Trade show kiosks
  • Floor graphics
  • Event signage
In a recent article about brand graphics we learn that the percentage of banner and window signs has increased:

The graphics and sign segment produces a diverse mix of end products, and the top three product areas are banners/soft signage/flags, window graphics and retail graphics/POP. Banners and soft signage increased significantly in the past year, which may reflect the strong increase in companies using dye-sublimation technology for soft signage and other fabric-based applications.

In additional to  where you put your brand,  what your brand looks like is also changing.  Research is finding that there are a number of brand trends that are more effective with print and online brand messaging including:

  • Font and photography combinations
  • Use of illustrations and original images rather than stock photos
  • Hand drawn images and logos
  • Color saturation
  • Use of vibrant colors
  • Use of patterns
  • Animation
  • Vintage
