Despite the many fluctuations during these ever-changing times, we continue to be adaptable and flexible as we evolve our program. Your support is invaluable as we try new ways to keep our organization moving forward. We continue to deliver an expanded program of Zoom shows along with live music outdoors at various food bank locations as well as other institutional settings. We are also resuming indoor concerts for our isolated Bay Area audiences, as it is safe and possible to do so.

In keeping with recent office trends, we now have a hybrid schedule for our operations to give all staff ease and flexibility with sustainable in-person and remote hours. We wish you all well during these variable times. Keep music in your hearts, and the importance of serving others top of mind.

Bread & Roses Benefit Concerts (1974-2000)

mimi.jpg

When people hear the name “Bread & Roses,” they often associate it with the legendary Bread & Roses Festivals of Music that were held through the years from 1977 until 1991 at the Greek Theatre. Many people know that Bread & Roses produces concerts, but may not realize that the money raised from our benefit concerts supports our ongoing program of live music for isolated Bay Area audiences.

Our organization, founded by the late Mimi Fariña in 1974, is now in its 47th year thanks to all the amazing performers, benefit concert attendees and other supporters along the way.
