A Message from The Pastor's Desk……
Dear friends in Christ,
God’s love is stronger than death! I can’t remember where I read this but it seems to me that this simple statement gets to the heart of the Easter joy we have. Sometimes we can overcomplicate things, I really like the simplicity of this statement. Speaking of that, displayed in the sanctuary are Easter haiku poems written by kids, youth and adults from Bread of Life. You may recall from high school English class, a Haiku is a form of Japanese poetry with the following structure -
Line 1 - 5 syllables
Line 2 - 7 syllables
Line 3 - 5 syllables
There’s a pastor I know who writes Haiku prayers. What I love about these prayers is that there’s no room to be too wordy! These Haiku prayers get to the heart of the matter. They’re also fun to try, examining our hearts, discerning what one needs from God, and asking in a very succinct way. This month I invite you to take some time to try writing a Haiku prayer. If you’d like to share it, you can give a copy to the office and we’ll post it at the church. Here’s my attempt at a Haiku prayer that I will share with you as I close.
Your love prevails God
Help me to love like Jesus
Heart open to all.
God’s grace and peace,
Pr. Patrick

Notes from the President****************************
The BOL Council last met on April 22nd. In the past month, there has been a flurry of activity at the church, as well as Lent and Easter services. Some of what is still upcoming include the final weeks of Wednesday youth programming for the year, the blood drive in May, VBS in June, and a BOL night at the Hot Tots in July. There will be a survey going out soon for those who have participated in the Wednesday night youth activities. We will be asking current and previous participants if they see any changes needed, etc. This year's final Wednesday night is May 7th, and we will be celebrating Amanda Peterson for all she has done the past many years as our Faith Formation Coordinator!
Please speak with me or any council member with questions or comments you may have, thank you!

New Addition Big Room Naming -
LAST CALL FOR SUGGESTIONS!!
The church council is currently seeking input from the congregation in hopes to name the new addition big room. A name for the room will help identify it for church programming, visitors, outside groups, and community events. We'd love to hear any name ideas you might have. We are hoping that this name will be one in the spirit of welcoming all people, as many different people from inside and outside the congregation gather in this room. Name ideas can be submitted on paper in the church entrance or online through the following link:

2025 Bread of Life Graduates
O God, you have called your servants to ventures of which we cannot see the ending, by paths as yet untrodden, through perils unknown. Give us faith to go out with good courage, not knowing where we go, but only that your hand is leading us and your love supporting us; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Congrats to the High School graduates at Bread of Life!
