May Loose Change offerings:

Bethel Lutheran Church, New Town, has made Sacred Connections by Walking Together with the indigenous community of the MHA Nation. They need to raise $10,000 in matching funds in order to receive a $10,000 grant from the ELCA for this ministry. A quilt and handmade items auction will also be held at this year’s Western ND Synod Assembly to help this ministry. All proceeds will be used to meet the matching funds needed to maximize this grant’s potential.

June Loose Change offerings:

Katie Narum Miyamoto, ELCA Global Missionary in Japan. A native of ND, Katie teaches English at a Lutheran high school in Kumamoto, Japan and works with youth.

Communion setup/Altar Guild Help Needed!

We are in need of some individuals to help with setting up communion for May and the summer months. The primary setup is for Saturday worship. Occasionally church banners are changed as well. There is a signup in the church entrance and individuals are asked to sign up for a month at a time. Thank you for considering helping with this important work!

A quick update from the building committee:

Last year our garages suffered wind damage to the shingles on the roof, they were also getting rather old and in need of replacement. This spring bids were presented to the council to replace the shingles on both of the garages. The council has approved the bid of $5,900. and the repairs will begin soon. There is a raise the roof drop-down(from our previous roofing project) on the Bread of Life pushpay site if you would like to contribute funds to this project.
