Latest news on how your support changes lives
May 2018
May is Mental Health Awareness Month

By reaching out, speaking up and starting a conversation, you can make all the difference in improving the mental health of a friend or loved one.
  1. Read up on signs and symptoms.
  2. Speak up and talk openly about what they are experiencing.
  3. Listen up and really hear what they are saying and feeling.
  4. Link up with local resources. Offer to get help together.
  5. Follow up and offer continued support.  (Ref. ItsUp2Us San Diego)
CCS is here for you. Our clinical team provides short term, individual and group counseling to survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault, and links them to providers for continued healing.
Colin the Upstander

Marathon runner, Colin Jackson, preps for San Diego's Rock 'n' Roll Marathon on June 3rd to raise awareness and support for survivors and CCS. His goal: to come in last place.

A Wild, Record-breaking Success

Our 19th Annual Tea & Tonic event surpassed our fundraising goal with record-breaking success at $323,000.  Thank you to everyone in the CCS family for making this possible and truly changing lives.

Healthcare Hero Award

Dee Davis, longtime volunteer with CCS is being recognized by Grossmont Healthcare District for her work as a Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) member with CCS. Congratulations Dee!

As the only Rape Crisis Center in San Diego, CCS relies on the safety net of trained SART volunteers, like Dee, to respond to law enforcement each time a rape or sexual assault is reported.
Thank you to our over 280 volunteers who show up for survivors every day.  We could not do this work without you!
