PROJECT SPOTLIGHT

Brickworks, New York, NY

Mainstay is proud to have provided structural design services for Brickworks' 16,000sqft design studio in New York City. It was especially rewarding to work with the beautiful Austral Venetian Glass Bricks to create the transparent façade, monumental glass brick clad staircase, and a very unique glass brick guard rail system.

The design includes two one-of-a-kind, first-time uses of solid venetian glass brick in the USA. The design team was tasked with the challenge of inventing new and creative ways to work with the product. The glass brick is utilized as part of a glowing two-level façade that fronts New York City’s iconic 5th Avenue and provides a distinctive focal point to the Brickworks studio.

This is a jewel of a project and an exciting one for Mainstay.

We Welcomed Our 50th Team Member in 2023

We spent the last year building our infrastructure. With the addition of Mike Donnelly, Controller, and Jacqueline Briggs, Vice President of Human Resources, employee benefits and company culture have been a major focus. An Education Assistance Program, paid parental leave and an employee perks program are a few of the benefits we've added to help facilitate our 5 Year Plan. We are poised for growth and are excited for the next 20 years here at Mainstay.

ON THE ROAD TO RECOVERY

Kunkletown Volunteer Firefighter

Tragedy struck one of our team members family this past Christmas Eve. While responding to a fire call on the evening of December 24th, Kyle, a firefighter for Kunkletown Volunteer Fire Company, suffered severe trauma from a fire hose that bulked back and took him down, resulting in multiple fractures to his pelvis. There is a long recovery ahead full of lots of painful physical therapy to get Kyle back up on his feet and walking again.

A Go Fund Me page has been set up to help defray the cost of medical expenses.
