Dear Readers,

As we close out the last month of our 20th year, I want to express my gratitude to my family, friends, clients and partners. Our small part in creating the built environment would not be possible without your confidence and support. I hope you enjoy this edition of Breaking Ground, and Happy Holidays!

Best Regards,

GIVING BACK
Corporate Social Responsibility

As a part of the greater Philadelphia community, Mainstay not only contributes by designing and engineering structures, we also contribute through philanthropy and donating to meaningful causes.
Over the last several years, Mainstay has donated 1% of our gross revenue to local charities and organizations in need.

Over the next several years, we will be developing and expanding our Corporate Social Responsibility framework to not only include donations, but a more hands-on approach to giving back through employee volunteer days, coat and food drives and the like.

For more than 30 years, Camden’s youth have been growing and thriving in UrbanPromise’s supportive and educational community, one that challenges them to build the skills they need to achieve the goals they envision for themselves.

We were first introduced to UrbanPromise through its BoatWorks program. This program teaches youth to build handcrafted wooden water vessels and learn to develop confidence and valuable lessons that transfer to the other realms of their academic, family, and social lives. Mainstay’s own, Katrina Parker, was heavily involved in the BoatWorks program back when she taught in Camden County School District.

Mainstay chose to donate to the CamdenForward (K-8) tuition program within the UrbanPromise network to help defray tuition costs for students and their families.

Due to the catastrophic flooding as a result of Hurricane Ian this fall, countless families, businesses and organizations have lost everything.

Through the Gulf Coast Community Foundation's Hurricane Ian Disaster Relief Fund, southern Sarasota County including Venice, hard-hit North Port, Englewood, Charlotte County, Lee County, and DeSoto County has been able to seek much-needed health and human services assistance.
