On March 31, 2021, the Mainstay Team watched virtually as a groundbreaking ceremony took place for Pfizer's Modular Aseptic Processing (MAP) facility in the city of Portage in Kalamazoo County, MI. The 420,000 SF multi-story facility is expected to create 450 new jobs. This is the second project Mainstay has had the opportunity to be part of at the 1,300 acre campus.
Chaz Calitri, Vice President of Operations at Pfizer was joined by U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow (D), U.S. Representative Fred Upton (R) and the Mayor of Portage, Patricia Randall among others.
Mainstay couldn't be more honored or proud to play a role in such a historic and monumental project.
"Looking back on the spring of 2020, the pandemic was affecting the entire world. Everyone, everywhere went into hibernation. Now, in the spring of 2021, we can see what truly amazing accomplishments can be done. Mainstay is proud to be a part of these great achievements. It is gratifying knowing that engineering, technology and science will win."
