Birmingham, Michigan (December 11, 2020) - Bloom Senior Living, a family-owned and operated provider of seniors housing throughout the Country since 1965, announced today that Great Place to Work® and Fortune have honored our company as one of the 2020 Best Workplaces for Aging Services.
The ranking considered anonymous survey feedback representing 189,159 employees working for organizations in the United States senior housing, skilled nursing and in-home care sectors. Great Place to Work, a global people analytics and consulting firm, evaluated more than 60 elements of team members' experience on the job. These included the extent to which employees trust leaders, the respect with which people are treated, the fairness of workplace decisions, and how much camaraderie there is among the team. These 60 factors influencing workplace satisfaction, when combined, describe the extent to which the organization creates a Great Place to Work for all. Rankings are based on employees' feedback and reward companies who best include all employees, no matter who they are or what they do for the organization. The annual list is published in Fortune.
"Our company is all about company culture and our associates" reports Owner and Director of Operations, Scott Kantor. Mr. Kantor adds that "we put so much effort into being a great place to work and it's extremely rewarding to have those efforts recognized by Fortune."
Bloom's Director of Education & Development, Melissa Campbell adds "If you know Bloom Senior Living, then you know our number one priority is company culture. We continue to believe that if the culture is right, then everything else -- including delivering upon our brand promise, aspirational mission and providing great customer service and care -- will happen naturally on its own. The best way to create good culture is to focus on our associates." Bloom believes that a team of happy associates, operating as one cohesive unit, will lead to happy families and residents, as well as, create a positive environment throughout our nine Bloom communities! Bloom recently announced the completion of its multi-year, multi-step and multi-million dollar plan focused upon developing industry leading culture and education.
