POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (March 17, 2022) – Hudson Valley Economic Development Corp. (HVEDC) today announced that PTS Contracting, has joined its Board of Directors and will be represented by Vice President, Construction & Operations, Zach Sawyer.

As Vice President, Construction & Operations, Zach Sawyer delivers two decades of experience to the HVEDC Board of Directors. In his current role, Sawyer drives efforts around continued quality improvement in the PTS construction management process. His focus is on enhancing the company’s already stellar reputation for delivering projects on time, on budget and with personalized attention to every detail. Sawyer is also responsible for growing the bench of talent at PTS and increasing the company’s visibility across market sectors and among business leadership organizations and trade associations.
Prior to joining PTS, Sawyer held an array of roles in healthcare construction, delivering projects from medical office space to hybrid operating rooms. He’s served clients including Hoag Health Network, Providence Health Systems, NewYork-Presbyterian, NYU Langone, White Plains Hospital, WMC Health and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals. He started his construction career working for a civil contractor in Evansville, Indiana, in 2002, followed by a stint as an owner’s representative in Los Angeles where he was part of a healthcare construction team that earned the prestigious ASHE Vista Award for a Renovation Project.
Sawyer attended Purdue University where he studied construction engineering and management. He is currently pursuing a master’s in business administration with a concentration in engineering management from the University of Southern Indiana. An active member of the community, Sawyer serves on the board of directors of the local nonprofit, Backyard Sports Cares, which supports participation in team sports for children with special needs and children from underserved communities.
