The Arc Names New Executive Director
The Arc California announced today that Jordan S. Lindsey has been selected as Executive Director. Lindsey was a lobbyist when he served as The Arc California's Director of Public Policy in 2007 and 2008. He
also ran The Arc's very successful Partners in Policymaking Program during that same time frame.
Jordan assumes his new role on March 15th.
"We were fortunate to have had a number of very qualified candidates interested in the position," said Arc California President Richard Fitzmaurice. "But Mr. Lindsey stood out because of his knowledge of the issues facing people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, his understanding of the legislative process gained from working for Assemblymember Carol Liu, and his subsequent experience building coalitions."
Lindsey received his MBA from The Haas School of Business at The University of California, Berkeley. As part of his new assignment, Jordan will head-up the legislative collaboration between The Arc and United Cerebral Palsy.
He replaces Tony Anderson who in January assumed the Executive Director position at the Valley Mountain Regional Center in Stockton.
