Parents, Be Armed...
Dear Friends,
At 11am this morning, July 10th, 2023, NMFAM joined together with conservative, family minded legislators to announce an invaluable tool that Parents won't want to miss.
From June 16th through July 1st the laws that we are still fighting became active in New Mexico. And while we are still actively working to get these laws on the ballot, the reality is that we are living in a New Mexico where Parents' rights are being violated and Parents' voices are being silence. Therefore, we must actively arm ourselves with resources that will help us in the very real, very current circumstance we find ourselves in.
In August, our children will be heading back to school and into classrooms, libraries, and health offices in which our children will be exposed and even have access to ideologies and services of which the parent will never be notified. We believe the parent's voice matters. We believe the parent's right should be protected. Therefore, in an effort to advise parents on how to inform school officials of their demands regarding their children’s welfare, we are honored to join in the release of the "Parental Notification/Consent Form."
Greg Nibert, one of the family minded legislators working on this resource states, "[We] are advocating that every parent of a minor child in New Mexico’s public schools sign and send a letter to their school’s administration requiring that they be notified before any gender ideology information, gender altering services, hormone blockers, psycho-tropic medications or abortion
services are provided to their child. The recommended form letter has already been reviewed by lawyers who are ready and willing to engage on this important issue."
Your voice matters, Mom and Dad, and this form gives your voice authority in the schools. The form gives parents options as to what they demand notification on. You can check one box, or you can check them all. It's your voice; you choose the boxes that will apply to your child. The form expressly states that if notification is not provided, the school does not have your consent to expose your child to topics/services you've indicated.
To use this valuable resource for your child, print the form here and then just follow these simple instructions:
1. Carefully read and mark each check box for which you are requiring notification before your child participates in activities that may be occurring on the school campus.
2. Sign the notification form.
3. Make two copies of the signed form.
4. Keep one copy for your personal records.
5. Email one copy to your child’s school admin office, requesting that a copy be placed in their permanent record with the school district.
We are helping to build the wall of protection around the family in New Mexico. We hope you will be encouraged and inspired to do the same by using and sharing this valuable resource to protect our kids!
